Well, he does draw up defensive plays, calls for doubles, calls for switches and preaches it so it's more then you suggest. Can we agree that D'ant understands the importance of defense even if he is an offensive specialist? If you can agree to that then you would have to assume that D'antoni has had enough experience with the game of basketball to learn the nuances of defense.

Yes, i would agree with that and im not sayin hes a retard when it comes to defense, i just think that it might not had been a bad idea for him to put his ego aside and hire a defensive specialist similar to how Doc Rivers and the celtics did with Tommy T back in 08. And I remember Dantoni seemed offended when this idea was brought up to him back when he first became our coach, he wants to prove the haters wrong. We'll see how our defense does this year compared to the past couple of years once the season begins, since I do agree that we have at least 3 defensive minded players now. That should help us out, but theres still room for debate...Im actually arguing some of these points with myself right now. If we give up 5 less points a game this year, is it because of the players, the coach, or both? Im gonna sign off for a little bit and think about this one but ill be back on for tonights game :gony:
