I think people need to chill out and be understanding of one another.

Optimistic people are hoping the new team will deliver, in spite of the past.

Pessimists are looking at ten years of failed attempts at fixing this team, whether by hiring new coaches or acquiring new players, and don't believe the team is back, until we deliver a winning team (over the course of an entire season).

Both positions are legit. When people try to play the "I gotcha" game, using a mere loss or win, it antagonizes others, when things could have gone either way for the team, depending on factors over which fans have no control.

Team management bears most of the responsibility for how things have gone for the Knicks, not the helpless fans of this contemporary train wreck of a team.

Back on topic. I have as much stake in this "beef" as anyone, but lets not mess with this streak.

The real "verdict" is that this team is somewhere in the middle. Not as bad as some of us thought, but not as good as some thought either. That is the definition of "mediocre." I think D'ant did tweak his system and that shows willingness to change in light of personell stengths and weaknesses.

There are enough "bad" teams in the league that this team "could" make the playoffs just by beating up on "bad" teams. I don't fault this team for beating teams they were supposed to beat. Should build confidence as we get to the meat of the schedule.

BTW, J you are saying that Ray is getting assists because he is passing to outside shooters. So? The reason they are open has a lot to do with his ability to penetrate and our ability to move the ball. The fact he is hitting open shooters means our offense is working as intended.

no it's not. He wasn't penetrating drawing defenders, he was forced to pass after he had no shot. so he starts the swing out on the perimeter. or he dumped it to stoudemire, who because stoudemire is so good he finishes despite the defense being able to key on amare.
