Compare the scores on this page vs. scores being played this year, scoring must be up 10 pts a game this year. Is it the 3 pt shot or the rules changes on defense?

Eight years ago today that Melo was traded to the Knicks. Time flies by.

It is really difficult to evaluate the Melo trade. Although he helped us make the playoffs 3 years in a row I was never a big fan of how we acquired him. I've always been one to believe that teams shouldn't make trades out of fear that the player they're targeting is going to be traded to another team. During the Walsh/Grunwald era the Knicks were so worried about what the Nets were doing that they set their franchise back for another decade through a series of desperation moves. I really hope that Dolan and the Knicks organization has learned from their past mistakes and don't trade away all of their current assets for a quick fix the way that they did years ago.

The trade to get him may have been a bust but the trade with the Thunder netted us MRob as the throw in second round pick. Also hard to believe that Melo hasn't been picked up by someone for a playoff run, his career has taken a nose dive since leaving the Knicks.

No! It's not hard to evaluate the Melo trade, the 3 times the Knicks made the playoff having Melo on the roster were done by other Knick teammates, the first playoffs Amare & Felton lead us to the playoffs, the 2nd time LinSanity lead the Knicks to the playoff, the 3rd time Jason Kidd and a group of Old-Timers lead the Knicks to the playoffs. The Melo trade was a HUGE mistake made personally by owner James Dolan .. Dolan actually gave control of the Knicks Franchise decision-making to Carmelo Anthony where Melo showed he had more power than the Knicks head-coach and the GM.
The only reason why Dolan hired Phil Jackson as president were to talk Melo into resigning with the team whom Melo said publicly at the beginning of the 2014-15 season he was not resigning to. Which were another DUM-DUM owner Dolan move !!!

Please! Stop showing videos of the Knicks beating the consistent LOTTERY Lakers !!!

Melo career took a nose dive his last two season on the Denver Nuggets .. we all seen how happy Melo's Denver teammates were at Melo's departure !!!

1962 - Richie Guerin drops 50 points as the New York Knicks beat the Philadelphia Warriors 149-135 on the road

1994 - Knicks acquire guard Derek Harper from Dallas in exchange for forward Tony Campbell and a 1997 first-round draft pick (Dallas later traded to Toronto, before pick was traded back to New York for Hubert Davis; pick used on John Thomas).
