DiVincenzo drops 40 pts, sets new franchise record in win to Pistons

In a dominant performance at Madison Square Garden, the Knicks soared past the Pistons with a marching 124-99 victory. Leading the charge was Donte DiVincenzo, who lit up the court with an impressive 40 points, setting a franchise record with an astounding 11 three-pointers.

The electric atmosphere at the Garden reached a fever pitch when, with the Knicks leading 115-89 and just over three minutes remaining, DiVincenzo drained his record-breaking 11th three-pointer, igniting the crowd’s jubilation.

Jalen Brunson scored 28 points, while Josh Hart orchestrated his sixth triple-double game of the season, tallying 11 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. The Knicks wasted no time asserting their dominance, jumping out to a 20-0 run after an early 9-8 lead, leaving the Pistons scrambling to keep up.

The Knicks’ depth and versatility were on full display, with contributions from Bojan Bogdanovic off the bench, who added 13 points, and Miles McBride, who chipped in with 13 points of his own. Meanwhile, the Pistons faced an uphill battle, missing key players like Cade Cunningham due to injuries.

Despite the Pistons’ efforts, they were unable to contain the Knicks’ offensive onslaught.
