Knicks get slaughtered by the champs, 126-94

The high hopes built after a 4 game winning streak sank quickly against a LeBron James that played as if he wanted to teach Knicks GM, Phil Jackson a lesson for the posse remark.

With 4 minutes left until halftime, Lance Thomas made a jumpshot to put the Knicks 8 points behind. The comeback attempt was crushed, first by LeBron’s dunk off Kyrie Irving’s assist, then by his three pointer. The Knicks never got back in the game, as the lead kept going up in Cavs’ favor, until the final buzzer when the scoreboard was already displaying a 32 points difference, 126-94.

Without Derrick Rose, injured in Miami, Jeff Hornacek sent Brandon Jennings in the starting lineup. Jennings scored a team-high 16 points in 31 minutes on the court.

Carmelo Anthony played his worst game of the season, finishing with a disappointing 8 points. Kyle O’Quinn led the bench with 10 points, added 7 rebound and 3 assists while Willy Hernangomez scored 9 and grabbed 7 boards.

Ron Baker logged 10 minutes after playing just 1 minute during the last 12 games and scored 6 points.
