2018 NBA Playoffs

For the first time this season Russ Westbrook performed like the win-win Russ Westbrook of previous seasons.
OKC gets a B grade for the fair exchange trade in the off-season sending Victor Oladipo to Pacers for Paul George.
The BIG-3 theory does not work well for this new OKC Thunders team .. its best for OKC to make immediate lineup changes in the first round series vs the Utah Jazz, by putting Jerami Grant in the starter lineup where he should have been at the start of the season.
I would like to send several copies of the OKC vs Jazz series to owner James Dolan and all Dolan's puppets !!!

Negative ESPN article on Melo and his benching in game 5. He wanted back in the game and got into it with Mo Cheeks on the bench instead of cheering for his team, don't see how a guy shooting 21% from the 3 pt line has a right to complain. Now the question is does Billy Donovan keep him on the bench for the entire game tonight or bring him off the bench if the Thunder don't start him and get off to a slow start. I don't think Donovan can bench Melo to start the game but Melo is going to have to start quick to avoid a quick hook if the Jazz get it going. If Donovan does bench Melo for the entire game that would be the ballsiest move in a playoff game I've ever seen.

I don't think benching is going to come in play this series should it continue but if they advance I could see Donovan asking him to come off the bench eventually. He's probably on a short leash at present. I will say Melo was cheering on his teammates in the thick of the comeback. I think he wanted in during a timeout that took place, which led to some back and forth but he was rooting his guys on. He's shown a very cooperative blend in spirit with the team, has accepted a lesser role and surprisingly gives defensive effort on most possessions but he's not the same player he used to be(which was hella overrated to begin with).

If he can't see the writing on the wall at this point he's even dumber than his delusional fan base
 
Oladipo making the Cavs pay for that no goaltend call they got last game, 7-9 4-4 3s 4 dimes 18 pts 2 mins left in the hakf.

Lebron just went down after getting hit in the head, has blood running from his eye. He looks woozy, the guy never gets hurt so seeing him woozy after a run in with Thad Young is strange.

Lebron says just put a bandaid on it and he's back in the game. He's a tough SOB.
 
Toronto closes out the Wiz in 6. Pacers lead the Cav s 74-54 5:50 left in the 3rd. This is going back to Cleveland for game 7, Lebron has 16 no one else has 10 yet.

Lue waving the white flag pulling his starters and the Pacers with a 31 pt lead 7:34 left. I hope Oladipo saved some of his bullets for that game in CLE on Sunday and Lebron needs his 3rd 40 pt game this series and help from KLove and JR.
 
41-41 tie at the half in UTAH. Rubio left the game early with a hammy that he has been struggling with. Disagree with the halftime ESPN panel that Rubio is indispensable for a win. They can win in that building without Rickie, I think the rook DM takes them home despite a defensive effort by PG to stop him.

The rook has all 10 pts in the half for the Jazz, 2 3s and steals back his turnover for a two pt layup. 9:13 left in the 3d.
 
The rook makes Melo look silly taking it the rim with that spinning scoop layup he has and then nails another 3 10-14 for 25pts over 6mins left in the 3rd.
 
2 big buckets by the Jazz after DM goes out with his 5th. Burke with a corner 3 and O'Neale with a layup off a steal. They got Ingles bringing up the ball w/o DM in there. Saw Rickie on the bench, so he may be back in the playoffs but probably won't be back ton.

Jazz has a 10 pt lead, 7 minute left in game, rookie DM is on a scoring tear having 32 pts and 5 fouls .. why Westbrook and PG are not trying to get DM his 6th foul show poor leadership from both OKC franchise players.
 
DM with 38 points... after the game they showed a graphic... most points by a rookie thru their first 6 playoff games:

1) Kareem
2) Wilt
3) Mitchell


And, the irony, DM hands Melo yet another 1st round loss!

Anyway poor Westbrook, he went out flame throwing and got nothing tonight from Playoff P and Slug Face. OKC was a fake paper team all yr and I knew they were suspect going into the playoffs like I told CHIEF!
 
Jazz move on. Unbelievable futile ending for OKC, with the score 94-91 Jazz they needed a 3 pt shot to tie it but had 5 attempts, because the ball was bouncing their way, that they missed over 2 possessions along with a few 2 pt attempts. PG may have gotten fouled on the last try but didn't get the call for 3 freebies. Russ had 46 though he couldn't stick a 3 to tie it at the end, took 43 shots to get his 46 though. Rox are not the Thunder, 6 game series with the Rox beating the Jazz even with DM.

No way Simmons scores 38 in the playoffs this year.
 
OKC has a big decision with PG. Do you make a play for a guy that scored 5 pts in the deciding game of the playoffs and extend him for 200M if he opts in. If I were Presti, I'm hoping he opts out and the Lakers or Sixers pay him.
 
Bucks 97 - Celtrics 86 .. Tied series 3-3
Giannis performance in the 6th game of the series showed all the Bucks fans in Milwaukee why he's the Bucks franchise player scoring 31 pts, 14 rb, 4 dimes in a must win situation at home. Middleton & Brogdon added 16 pts each for the Bucks win.
Saturdays 7th Game of the series will be the do or die in Boston !!!

Raptors 102 - Wizards 92 .. Raptors WON series 4-2
The Raptors BIG-3 put a end to the series in the 6th game tonight to move on to the 2nd round for Cavs or Pacers next week.
The Wizards has a few nice players on their roster .. will they trade any in the off-season? who for who?

Pacers 121 - Cavs 87 .. Tied series 3-3
Victor Oladipo outstanding triple-double 28 pts, 13 rb, 10 dimes, 4 stl, performance tonight earned him a high extended contract by the Indiana Pacers Fans .. The Pacers 9-Man rotation gave the Cavs a 34 pt blowout game over Cavs .. 7 Pacers players scored in double figures.
Lebron wasnt able to score 40 pts, nor was Lebron able to play his average 40+ minute game tonight after shedding blood at the end of the 2nd quarter, instead of drawing blood in Indiana. The Cavs lineups performance without Lebron could not beat the Knicks !!!

Jazz 96 - OKC 91 - JAZZY- Jazz WON series 4-2
The Utah Jazz mindset at tip-off tonight were on win-win mode by keeping the game score close throughout the first half of the game, saving all their dynamic energy for a winning 2nd half of the game .. Westbrook's 46 pts, 10 rb, 5 dimes, 2 steals performance was not enough for a Thunders win tonight. After 26 minute of Melo's 7 pts and 3 rebounds OKC coach Billy Donovan sat Melo on the bench throughout the final 9 minute of the 4th quarter Jazz leading 83-73.
Paul George not getting the foul call on the potential-tying 3 attempt 91-94 score having 15 seconds left in the game .. Is not important when PG no-call shot were the Thunders 6th consecutive missed shot in 45 seconds of having the ball from OKC players grabbing 5 consecutive offensive-rebounds. In those 45 seconds of both star players Westbrook and PG missing 3 consecutive shots each .. the OKC teammates in the lineup were fed-up and gave up and refuse to foul rookie Donovan Mitchell who grabbed the rebound off of PG no-call missed shot having 15 sec remaining in the game. Westbrook finally fouled the rookie at 6 sec remaining in the game for rookie Donovan Mitchell to increase the lead to 96-91 from the foul line, The Jazz rookie-star Mitchell scored 38 points tonight for the WIN !!!

Pretty tough when to win ?Playoff P? only manages 5 points and Melo only gets 7. Now instead of a great 2nd round matchup we are stuck with a ROX cakewalk in 5:(
