Exactly. And even that dud could light up SL. Grimes was a mid second round pick. A total head scratcher that he was selected 25th. Knock on him is he doesn?t have NBA athleticism and will struggle to get shut off.
2 SL games and his entire college career screams bust? or, maybe, a bench role player. He?ll be playing in Russia in 4 years.

Not surprising tho, bc we traded out of first round? gave up our picks? we traded back the second time bc we knew we could get the guy they wanted anytime before the 50 range bc nobody was taking Grimes before 40-45 range.

McBride and Simms look like quality bench reserve guys.

I could use at least one other person on here who is at least trying to be optimistic. It?s gotten pretty grim, especially for a franchise that was a 4th seed last year. If I really wanted to hear this much negativity on a regular basis, I?d talk more to my wife.

Why is it negative? It was an unorthodox selection. I love what they did with Walker and Evan and believe in Randle and RJ can continue to grow. We have one of better benches in NBA.
We didn?t want 4 picks so they went for specific roles instead of BPA.
Nobody likes their draft, and this was why. They passed on a lottery kid in JJ for a second round talent.

No, I agree with the draft analysis.
But, draft is over. Grimes is on the team. Let?s give the kid a chance.
McBride and Sims both have played decent so far, for what it?s worth in Summer League.
Throughout the season the Knicks needed a SF to backup Bullock, using SG-Burks to backup Bullock was ok on offense when Burks perimeter shooting was on, but on defense Burks a BUM that cant defend guards or SF.
Jalen Johnson was a PRIORITY pick .. his talents are better than RJ Barrett at the SG position, and better than Bullocks at the SF position.
Grimes talent in the two SL games shows he belong on the GLeague team to receive 30 minute of playing-time.
Great Knicks Game WIN over the Pacers today from our trio .. Quickley had 32 pts, 8 Dimes, and 2 steals .. And Toppin 22 pts, and 9 rbs .. And Sims 8 pts on 4-4 shooting, and 9 rbs ..
O.K McBride added 14 pts on 5-7 FG shooting !!!

Best rook I’ve seen is the Rockets Jalen Green. Maybe there is something to going to the GLeague instead of college for these top draft picks, shooting from the NBA 3 pt line, getting pro coaching etc seems to have worked with Green.
Two weeks before the Draft .. It was said all the players name Jalen in the draft were NBA Ready.

The GLeague Jonathan Kuminga was my best athletic SF player having a high b.ball IQ.

All our Knicks GM and President's GREED always get caught by Dolan's spies.
When Dolan find out about the depth in the 2021 draft-class, and how the Knicks FO sold 3 of the 4 picks, plus how the 58th pick Jericho Sims is the best player in the lot. When Dolan find out several of first round teams like (GSW 14th pick) were looking to sell and trade their pick ....
McBride and Grimes were suppose to be late-late 2nd round picks .. Their performance in the SL games proves that as a FACT. The Knicks FO sold late 1st round picks for late 2nd round picks (I guess for $$$ under the table) .. McBride & Grimes add nothing to the Knicks team.
Jalen getting the better of the match-up against Cade tonight. Doris said something at the tail end of the game that I was thinking, Green did not even have a great game but still scored 25 pts. Made his money at the FT line showing his driving ability but the kid also has a sick step back 3.
