Official 2017 NBA Draft Thread - June 22

Not that we have to worry about Fultz but something that crossed my mind when I heard Fultz say when he wakes up he goes to where he's told that he seemed very laid back. Guy said the one criticism he had of him and contributed to his team's losing season was he didn't give 100% effort all the time.
 
I called the top 7! How sweet is that.... now, the pain.... DSJ and monk on board.... but.... what will Phil do?

Word is Fultz, Ball, Tatum, Jax, Fox are top 5.... Isaac and kid from AZ go 6 & 7.... this is probably the ideal scenario for NYK.

Let's hope it plays out this way, or that Monk goes 5 or 6.... anyway, I'm thinking we have a good shot at DSJ at 8.

Worked out perfectly for NYK....
 
No trades.... we passed on DSJ (potential star of this draft class) and Monk for this unknown, who at best might be an OK player?

Why do we even bother ever having hope.
 
We could've traded down with Portland and got Donovan Mitchell and pieces. I'm so upset based on everything leading up to this draft
 
It's Frank, being applauded by NY fans despite no one ever seeing him play and PJ passing on the more heralded DSJ or Monk.

Knicks picked Frank because of the triangle, can't argue he's probably better suited than DSJ after seeing DRose this year.
 
I was in my car for the last 5 or 6 picks. I'm not upset about us drafting Ntilikina. Much like Porzingis 2 years ago, we have to hope that our foreign scouts know what they are doing. Honestly, DSJ and Monk don't seem like any more sure things to me.

Dallas definitely seemed like they were gearing up to get Ntilikina. I wonder if the only reason he fell to us was that Chicago and not Dallas traded up to 7. I bet Dallas would have taken Ntilikina if he was still available over DSJ.
 
Let's see what PJ does in the rest of the draft, probably nothing because he doesn't know what he's doing despite what he says.
