I think the Lakers made out like bandits in this trade. Last I heard Marks was looking for an arm and leg for BLo, Russell and Moz hardly qualify as a heist and they had to give up a late first to get them. Nets should have got a draft pick not give up one, I give Marks a D for this trade.Lakers clearly admitting the pre-Magic Johnson front office made 2 big front office mistakes in drafting Russell at #2 and signing Mozgov to a big deal (which was clearly a mistake at the time they did it).
Fair trade or not, you would sure as hell hope that a #2 overall pick after only 2 seasons would net you more than moving a bad contract, Brook Lopez in the final year of his contract, and a late 1st round pick.
