Knicks beat Hornets 122-108 behind Brunson’s 32 pts
Jalen Brunson scored 32 points back-to-back and the New York Knicks won their third straight game this road trip, defeating the Charlotte Hornets 122-108.
The Knicks took an early 20-9 lead in the first quarter and since then, the Hornets rarely cut it to single digits.
Donte DiVicenzo, in his first start for the Knicks ended-up with a career-high 25 points going 7-10 from behind the arc. The new addition also contributed with 3 steals, 3 rebounds and 3 assists.
Julius Randle scored 21 while RJ Barrett, returning to the starting lineup after missing three games finished with 15 buckets. The boards were cleaned-up by Mitchell Robinson who grabbed 11 offensive rebounds and a total of 14, also delivering three blocks.
The Hornets were led by LaMelo Ball who scored a game-high 34 points. Brandon Miller followed with 29 on a 10-15 shooting, including 5-7 from long distance.
The Knicks have won 3 of their five game road trip which will end on Monday in Minneapolis and are three games above 0.500 13 games into the season.
