Knicks lose fourth straight as they bow to rivals Nets 109-106

Julius Randle scored a season high 30 points, Mitchell Robinson had a double-double game with 10 points and 12 rebounds and RJ Barrett scored 20 buckets. The outcome? Knicks lose 109-116 at the Garden tot the Brooklyn Nets.

The Knicks had a very bad second quarter, which they lost by 15 points and could never recover after halftime. In spite of the close score, the Knicks trailed by as many as 19 points in the third quarter and 18 points late in the final act before going on a 17-7 run that cut the gap to 8 points with just under a minute left. In the end, the Nets were the better team.

Kevin Durant scored 26, Joe Harris and Bruce Brown added 15 points each while Landry Shamet and Timothe Luwawu Cabarrot scored 13 buckets off the bench.

In terms of field goal percentage both teams shot pretty much the same but the Nets, who played their fifth straight game without Kyrie Irving, shot better from the three.

Next up: Knicks (5-7) visit Cleveland to take on the Cavs (5-7) on Friday night.
