Knicks lose season opener in Memphis 112-115 in OT
Julius Randle scored a team high 24 points to go with 11 rebounds and 6 assists, Cam Reddish led the bench with 22 points while shooting 9-15 from the field but the New York Knicks fell short in Memphis, 112-115 in overtime.
Reddish made a 23-foot three point jumper with 3.3 left in regulation to tie the game at 108 and force overtime but the Knicks fell 4-7 in extra time to start the the season 0-1.
The Knicks trailed by 19 points early in the third quarter before emerging on a comeback to take a 96-95 lead off Jalen Brunson‘s layup with 3:31 left on the clock, their first lead since the first quarter.
New addition, Isaiah Hartenstein, logged a team-high 40 minutes, scored 16 points and grabbed 8 boards.
Brunson finished with 15 points, 9 dimes and 6 boards despite a slow start with just a couple of buckets in the first quarter.

The Grizzlies were led by Ja Morant who finished with 34 points and 9 assists. Santi Aldama finished in double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds and Desmond Bane added 16 buckets.
