Knicks shook Cavs 114-95, connect two in a row!

Tim Hardaway Jr showed a glimpse of why he’s getting such a big pay check, against – a now struggling – Cleveland Cavaliers, a team that is playing in the finals for the past three years.

Hardaway Jr nailed 34 points while shooting 11-19 from the field, including 5-10 from behind the arc and dished 8 assists as the New York Knicks knocked out LeBron & Co 114-95 at Quicken Loans Arena.

“He’s been waiting for that breakout game. It takes the pressure off everybody, especially for KP. I’m happy he got it today. Now he’s got his confidence and rhythm.”

– Courtney Lee

This was New York’s second straight win after starting the season 0-3 and going winless in the preseason.

Kristaps Porzingis had another huge game, dropping 32 points and grabbing 12 rebounds for hos first double-double of the season, and his fourth 30 or more points game in five.

It’s nice to finally beat the Cavs for the first time in my career. It’s just another game but hopefully it can be in the playoffs and that’s when it really matters.

The Knicks took a 17 point lead late in the third quarter and they seem to have the win secured but Kyle Korver put his team on a comeback and the Cavaliers managed to cut the lead to just 6 points, early in the fourth.

But this time, the Knicks weren’t ready to lose. Courtney Lee and Enes Kanter pushed New York on a 9-0 run and the game was in the books.

Kanter finished in double-double with 18 points and 12 boards while Lee had himself a double-double game with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Jarret Jack, the new starting point guard, made only one shot in 8 attempts but sent 9 assists and finished with a plus/minus rating of 22, the greatest next to Hardaway’s.

Rookie Frank Ntilikina logged 16 minutes, scored 5 points, grabbed 3 rebounds and dished 3 assists.
