Towns dominates as Knicks crush Nets 134-98 to stay perfect at home

There was no drama at Madison Square Garden this time – just pure domination. Karl-Anthony Towns put on a show with 28 points and 12 rebounds as the Knicks steamrolled the Brooklyn Nets 134-98, extending their home unbeaten streak to 6-0 and notching their fourth straight win.

The Knicks came out of the gates blazing, scoring the first eight baskets of the game and never looking back. They overwhelmed the Nets early with sharp execution, quick ball movement, and suffocating defense that left Brooklyn chasing shadows. By the end of the first quarter, the Knicks were already in full control, up by 15. When the third quarter rolled around, they did it again – another 15-point margin that turned the contest into a rout.

The shooting was impeccable. New York connected on 17 three-pointers at a scorching 45.9 percent clip, a product of both unselfish passing and total confidence from every corner of the court. Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby each chipped in 19 points, while Mikal Bridges added 16 in a smooth, well-rounded performance. The second unit kept the energy high, with Josh Hart and Jordan Clarkson contributing 11 points apiece to keep the offense flowing.

Towns was the centerpiece, though. He bullied Brooklyn inside, stretched them with his shooting, and controlled the boards, finishing with his latest double-double in what’s quickly becoming a season of consistency and control.

For the Nets, it was another night to forget. Michael Porter Jr. led them with 25 points, while rookie Drake Powell had a solid outing off the bench with 15. Starting center Day’Ron Sharpe scored 10 in 12 minutes before leaving the game with hamstring tightness – a setback for an already struggling 1-9 Brooklyn team.

By the time the fourth quarter hit, it was all academic. The Knicks’ starters sat comfortably, the bench handled business, and the Garden crowd watched another wire-to-wire win from a team that’s starting to look scary good at home. Six games, six wins – and a clear message that Madison Square Garden has become a fortress.
