Afflalo explodes with 38 points to lead the Knicks over Hawks

Aarron Afflalo scored a season high 38 points shooting 14-17 including 7-8 from behind the arc to help the Knicks defeat the Hawks 111-97, and open 2016 at Madison Square Garden with a win.

Afflalo was flawless from the three point line until late in the 4 quarter when he missed his first. Kristaps Porzingis who contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds praised his team-mate’s outstanding performance.

Carmelo Anthony finished with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists while Robin Lopez also had a solid contribution scoring 16 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing 5 assists.
