Knicks disappoint in preseason opener, drop 103-130 to Rockets

The New York Knicks were blown out in the preseason opener by almost 30 points last night in Houston.

Derrick Rose who turned 28 on game day impressed with 16 points shooting 7-14 from the field, but the Knicsk were far away from the “Superteam” Rose referred to.

A deadly slow start in the first quarter gave the Rockets the chance to build fast and control the game from one end to the other, crushing New York 103-130.

Kristaps Porzingis shined with 22 points and was 8-11 from the field, including 5-6 from behind the arc. Carmelo Anthony contributed with 10 points while Brandon Jennings and Mindaugas Kuzminskas scored 7 buckets each.
