Knicks fall to Boston, lose second preseason game

The New York Knicks played the preseason finale in Boston and ended it with a loss, wrapping it up at 4 and 2. Jose Calderon stepped up from the first quarter scoring 8 of his total of 17 points. Robin Lopez helped building the momentum but the Celtics overcame in the second quarter and after a 22-6 run, New York was already down by 19.

Arron Afflalo went on a 4/6 shooting from the field, nailing 10 points but left the court with a left hamstring early in the third quarter and not returned on the floor.

Kristaps Porzingis was quick to get in foul trouble with three in the first five minutes but returned later on the court and finished with 8 points and 8 rebounds.

Although struggling for the most of the last quarter and losing 99-85, the Knicks showed fun to watch basketball in these six pre games. The season is about to start in just 4 games and New York will open in Milwaukee.
