Knicks get crushed in Brooklyn, lose 3rd preseason game 83-117
Third preseason game went worse than the previous two. This time the Knicks lost control of the game from the start trailing by 12 points after the first quarter and never getting close after.
Jeff Hornacek set up a new starting lineup, this time with Willy Hernangomez at the center and the Spanish sophomore did not disappointed. Hernangomez finished the game in double double with 17 points and 12 rebounds while shooting 7-11 from the field.
Kristaps Porzingis spent only 16 minutes on the court, in the first half and then left the game at halftime with a sore hip.
“I believe there is tightness somewhere else, that’s why it got a little sore.”
Tim Hardaway Jr had 13 buckets including a highlight alley-oop early in the game after a block administrated by Porzingis on Jeremy Lin.
