Knicks show a different effort against the Raptors but still can’t get the win
The Knicks showed a different face last night, than the one they showed against the Celtics, and alongside the Raptors, they offered one of the most entertaining games.
No team had more than 6 points ahead until late in the last minute and the lead changed several times each quarter, 12 times per game.
After being ejected the previous game, Carmelo Anthony returned with a different attitude and scored 29 points by the end of the third. However, in the last act he came empty handed, making just a couple of free throws in the last seconds.
Kyle Lowry, the NBA leading scorer had 33 points, to help his team win 118-107. For Lowry, this was his 8th game with 30 points or more in 9 starts, since the start of the season. The only other players who achieved this performance are Michael Jordan, Wally B. Free and Tiny Archibald.
Kristaps Porzingis and Derrick Rose scored 21 points each, while Joakim Noah finished with 4 points and a season high 18 rebounds.
Kyle O’Quinn scored 10 points off the bench and grabbed 4 rebounds, while Willy Hernangomez was played only four minutes after two explosive games against the Nets and the Celtics.
